Among the main challenges facing cities around the world is the ongoing search for new means of transportation and systems that facilitate the transportation of citizens to their workplaces, schools, and homes. For the past five years, DHV has been managing, designing, and planning the best air transportation option for Guatemala City. Following the municipality's initiative to invite the private sector to award the aerometer concession, DHV Consultants has advised on the entire preparation of studies for the aerometer's implementation. From this perspective, the company is committed to helping achieve these objectives by providing the following services:

• Feasibility Studies for the Use of Intelligent Transportation Systems.

• Vehicle counts.

• Road Impact Studies.

• Synchronization of traffic light corridors.

• Feasibility consulting for the implementation of new technologies for traffic control.

In partnership with Delcan Canada, specialized traffic control work was carried out in Guatemala City. This work involved synchronizing important traffic light corridors and conducting vehicle counts at more than 100 intersections throughout the city.
