Our Origins
DHV CONSULTANTS GUATEMALA, S.A., was founded in 1998, and its main activity was focused on multidisciplinary fields, with Guatemalan and highly qualified foreign professionals. The majority of the projects executed have been carried out with the support and participation of public and private entities, as well as several international organizations.

Our company has been strengthened after the end of the representation it held for more than 17 years with the DHV Group BV Holland, one of the largest and most important international engineering and multidisciplinary consulting firms in the world, headquartered in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. It has now merged with another similar company (Royal Haskoning), with offices around the world. This merger has consolidated the Royal HaskoningDHV Group (www.royalhaskoningdhv.com).

During the period 1998-2014; DHV CONSULTANTS GUATEMALA (www.dhv-ca.com) has developed and is currently developing several projects with municipalities in the Republic of Guatemala and other Central American countries. One of the largest projects was the Administration and Operation of the Urban Construction Control Department, which, following the implementation of the Territorial Planning Plan (POT), changed its name to the Territorial Control Directorate in 2009.
During the execution of this project, more than 25 million square meters of construction were authorized in the city, more than 48,000 construction licenses were issued, and more than 1 billion quetzales of revenue were generated from the collection of municipal license fees, taxes, and rents, making it one of the most successful projects ever executed.
DHV Consultants has also proven to be a leading firm in the development and execution of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects, securing significant private sector investments in large-scale projects for Guatemala City, such as underground parking, street furniture equipment, plazas and parks, taxi cabs, metropolitan development symposiums, and even the implementation of the Metropolitan Development Plan for Guatemala City, "Metropolis 2010."
In the period 2007-2010, through its subsidiary DHV CONSULTANTS HONDURAS S.A., a contract was signed with the Municipality of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, for the development and implementation of the METROPLAN Project Management to execute the Urban Construction Control project. A Municipal Strengthening project is currently being implemented with the Municipality of San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
Additionally, during our operation and management, a series of projects were executed with various municipalities, such as Santa Catarina Pínula, Villa Nueva, and Quetzaltenango, as well as with other state entities and private companies.
All this experience acquired over several years of service in a wide variety of projects, and in the area of ​​Institutional Strengthening, is made available to our current and future clients.
