Strengthening Management and Modernization of San Pedro Sula, Honduras
The implementation and administration of the Management Strengthening and Modernization project for the Municipality of San Pedro Sula in Honduras began in May 2015. The project's main objectives include strengthening the institutional image, reducing customer service times, streamlining current processes, updating municipal regulations and rules, increasing municipal revenue, increasing customer satisfaction, remodeling the physical space to provide better customer service to residents and developers, acquiring state-of-the-art technology, and all other actions and activities that make the management of the services currently provided by the municipality more efficient and transparent.

Buildings and Construction Permits
This unit is responsible for enforcing current regulations for issuing construction, expansion, and remodeling permits, among others, as well as approving urbanization and subdivision projects.
The work areas that are part of the modernization and transformation process of the unit include the remodeling of the Customer Service Area, increasing coverage in the Field Control Area, and the reengineering and systematization of processes in the One-Stop Shop.
Municipal Cadastre
This office is responsible for maintaining and exercising strict control over municipal assets located within the jurisdiction of the municipality of San Pedro Sula. It is also responsible for generating the real estate database and its characteristics, and based on this, it establishes the percentage charge based on the registered cadastral value.

The work areas planned for the modernization and transformation of the unit's management include the Customer Service Area, the Coding Area, and the One-Stop Shop.
Contribution for Improvements
This unit's main function is the management, promotion, and dissemination of infrastructure projects that provide a social benefit and respond to the needs of the population of San Pedro Sula and its area of ​​influence. To this end, it determines the area or zone of influence that the project will cover during its implementation and the amounts that each resident or owner of the properties benefiting from the project must pay to the municipality for the work performed.

The lines of work being implemented include investment project management, the delimitation of areas of influence for future projects, the updating of the graphic database, project design and planning, and the recovery of non-performing loans.
Advertising and Street Furniture Control
This unit is responsible for controlling and approving the installation of advertising elements on private properties and street furniture in public spaces. It is also the office responsible for collecting fees for the maintenance of advertising elements that remain installed.

The lines of work being implemented include the inventory of signs, process reengineering, regulatory updates, alphanumeric and graphic databases, and the recovery of non-performing loans.
